Aunt Cara

Today Greta's Aunt Cara came all the way down from New York to meet her. We had a great day hanging around the neighborhood and Greta just loved being in Cara's arms. Thanks so much to Cara for making the trek down to GA!

Picnic in the Park

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood on Sunday so we decided to stroll down to the park.

Brooke & I ate Greta's weight in sandwich...

Aug. 21

It's hard to believe that today is Greta's due date. It seems like months ago when we were headed to the hospital for her arrival. We're so glad we got 2 1/2 more weeks with our little one. Happy due date, Greta.

Clean as a whistle

We gave Greta her first bath last night to celebrate her 2 week birthday. It soothed her right to sleep.

The dog ate it

Today Greta reached a first milestone of infancy - her umbilical cord stump fell off. Brooke and Peggy were washing her hair and noticed it was missing. We were pretty stunned to look down and see that Bailey was licking his chops. In our meat-free house you take what you can get.

Here are a couple of new pics not related to the umbilical cord incident...

Introducing Greta Claire Schembri!

Little Greta entered this world at 6:13 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. She was 18 and 3/4 inches long and weighed in at a svelte 6 lbs 9 oz. I'm glad to report that both Brooke and Greta are healthy and happy. Enjoy the photos from our big week!
