Here are some recent pictures of Greta. She becomes more entertaining every day and has grown so much. She had her 4-month check up last week and the doctor praised what he called her "robust growth curve." Nice way of putting it.
Staying warm in her new PJs
Hanging out after a long soak
We (hesitantly) acquired our first large toy-like plastic contraption last weekend from a neighbor. Greta loves it, of course.
We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving both Thursday and Friday with family. Needless to say, we have a lot to be thankful for this year.
I thought we had taken a lot of good pictures, but after throwing out the bad ones these are all we came up with. There is no shortage of Greta closeups these days.
We took our first family road trip this weekend to the Georgia coast to visit family, attend cousin Henry's 6th birthday party, and get a little R&R. The weather was beautiful, the seafood was delicious, and it was fun to spend time at the beach. A perfect weekend!
Greta & Brooke sharing a moment in the park outside Julie & Drew's house
Chris's mom visited last week and took care of Greta while we worked. Greta loved getting to know her Grandma and we were so thankful to have help during a busy week.
Greta is all smiles now! She is cooing up a storm and just melts our hearts when she gives us these sweet smiles. She is also sleeping like a champ, which started literally when the clock struck midnight on her 2 month birthday. Life is good.
Greta had her first weigh in yesterday since she was a measly 6 lb 7 oz at 6 days of age. She is now a robust 12 pounds. Not to be set back by her early arrival, she's now in the 90th percentile for weight and 75th for height. Here are some recent pics of our big girl.
Squeaky clean
With all of the recent rain we've had lots of time to play dress up. Here's a picture of Greta wearing one of Mama's old dresses.
Greta was able to meet some of her extended family last weekend when my Dennison relatives visited Atlanta. We had a great time catching up with everyone.
Etta, Riley, and Greta
Greta and cousins...not easy to get so many babies sitting on the couch at once. Greta was not too thrilled to have her feeding interrupted for this.
We made it through the first month and Greta is thriving. Her ability to consume large quantities of milk at once may be an early sign that competitive eating is in her future. We're still working on a sleeping schedule, but she did once sleep for 3.5 hours straight during the night (woohoo!). Here are some recent pictures of the little one.
She has lots of good awake time now. We had just returned from a walk so she's a little rashy from the heat.
I caught a small smile while she was lying in her favorite spot on the changing table.
Today Greta's Aunt Cara came all the way down from New York to meet her. We had a great day hanging around the neighborhood and Greta just loved being in Cara's arms. Thanks so much to Cara for making the trek down to GA! She has a mother's touch Family portrait in the park
